I also hate when people categorize what intelligent vs. non-intelligent readers read. Just because I loved the HGs,and it was *marketed* to teens does not mean that it does not have literary value. If anyone has ever studies Joseph Campbell he would argue that the human psyche has been listening to children's stories since the dawn of time.Karahttp://karalucasauthor.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1396403105332066259.post-23068995610789992602012-03-29T13:10:15.585-04:002012-03-29T13:10:15.585-04:00Agree with you – except Stein doesn't sound cy...Agree with you – except Stein doesn't sound cynical but conformist. And how is reading YA or looking at Pixar movies a symptom of refusal to grow up or accept responsibilities? Some people won't read YA but are absolutely immature in their behavior towards others and their vision of society.Sabinehttp://gapsandbridges.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1396403105332066259.post-54552767065328379512012-03-29T13:06:50.912-04:002012-03-29T13:06:50.912-04:00Aw, thanks -- I'm glad you enjoyed it!Aw, thanks -- I'm glad you enjoyed it!amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11158553862638051863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1396403105332066259.post-8339405069479229902012-03-29T12:58:08.581-04:002012-03-29T12:58:08.581-04:00This is a terrific response! I love YA novels because they're fun, entertaining and are a great escape from reality. Sure they may not be as deep as, say Paradise Lost (which I am currently reading) but it's nice to just enjoy the story and not have to work to read it.Charissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17603699060162444037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1396403105332066259.post-16451859683078438502012-03-29T12:32:48.872-04:002012-03-29T12:32:48.872-04:00AMEN sisterAMEN sisterAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
